Common Questions
Simple answers to help you navigate Medicare with confidence.
1. I am turning 65 soon. What do I actually need to do?
The first step is simpler than you think. You need to sign up for Medicare Parts A & B through Social Security (often done online). Once you have your red, white, and blue card, give us a call. We help you with the rest to ensure you don't face gaps in coverage.
2. Why is my mailbox full of insurance letters?
You have become very popular! Insurance companies compete hard for your business. It can be overwhelming, but remember: you don't have to call them all. We work with major carriers to compare those options for you in one sitting, unbiased and free.
3. What is the difference between Medicare Advantage and Supplement?
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) typically has a higher monthly premium but very few costs when you see a doctor. Medicare Advantage often has low or $0 premiums, but you pay copays for services. Neither is "better"—it depends on your health and budget.
4. Does it cost money to use your services?
No. Our services are 100% free to you. If we help you enroll in a plan, the insurance carrier pays us a commission. Your premium remains exactly the same whether you use our help or enrolling yourself.
5. Do I have to change my doctors?
Not necessarily, but it is the most important thing we check. Some plans limit you to a network (HMO), while others allow you to see any doctor who accepts Medicare (PPO or Supplement). We always check your specific doctors before suggesting a plan.
6. ¿Habla Español?
¡Sí, claro que sí! Entendemos que el sistema de salud puede ser confuso debido al idioma. Estamos aquí para explicar cada detalle en español, con paciencia y respeto, para que usted y su familia se sientan seguros con su decisión.
